Background: Renal ectopia consists of the congenital malposition of one or both kidneys. Renal fusion, although rare in veterinary medicine, represents a relatively common congenital malformation of the urinary tract in humans. Renal ectopia may be classified as simple, crossed or pelvic. Renal fusion is often asymptomatic; however, it has been reported in association with other congenital malformations. The diagnosis is usually established through a combination of imaging modalities, including ultrasonography, plain and contrast radiography, as well as computed tomography. The present report aims to describe a case of bilateral pelvic renal ectopia with fusion associated with cryptorchidism and unilateral testicular agenesis in a feline, highlighting the ultrasonographic findings.
