Resumo

Faced with the exacerbated use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, one of the major concerns of today is the contamination of water systems, due to the ease in which these environments can be affected by these substances and the harmful effects that these products can cause. Thus the main objective of this work was to evaluate the quality of the water used for fish farming in the interior of the municipality of Ajuricaba, in which it confers to the presence of agrochemical residues. Ten water samples were collected from dams located in agricultural regions of the municipality near plantations. The determination of the pesticides was carried out in the Laboratory of Analysis of Pesticide Residues (LARP) of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), using analytical method of Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) and gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-MS / MS). According to the data obtained, the 10 surface water samples analyzed showed at least two pesticides in detectable concentrations. Of the 70 agrochemicals analyzed, 6 different compounds were detected, among them, 2,4-D, atrazine, azoxystrobin, clomazone, imidacloprid and simazine. The presence of these compounds in all the monitored points can be directly related to the characteristics of the environments analyzed and to the physical-chemical characteristics of the detected compounds.
